Liz Baehnk, FNP

Liz is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of nursing experience and a strong background in critical care. She spent seven years as a critical care float nurse at a local hospital, where she and Natalie worked side by side in the ICU—often dreaming of one day transitioning into the world of aesthetics.

After becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Liz began working with Dr. Phillippi at Medical Procedures of Wisconsin, where she gained extensive experience performing ultrasound-guided injections and advanced procedures for pain and varicose veins. Recognizing her passion for aesthetics, Dr. Phillippi supported the creation of Lume Aesthetics—turning that ICU dream into reality. Liz’s passion for aesthetics began with her own struggles and insecurities about her skin. Having experienced how transformative good skincare and treatments can be, she loves helping others feel comfortable and confident in their skin.

Her favorite aesthetic treatments are Sculptra and under-eye PRP injections, as she finds them truly transformative for restoring a refreshed, natural look and helping people feel their best.Born and raised on Madison’s east side, Liz has lived in Madison her whole life. She and her husband are raising two daughters and love spending time up north at their family cabin.

Outside of the clinic, Liz enjoys connecting with friends—especially over a good gab session at her favorite Mexican restaurant.

Natalie Klaas, RN

Aesthetic nurse

Natalie is a Registered Nurse with years of experience working in ICUs across Wisconsin. She first met Liz while working at a local hospital during COVID, and the two quickly became friends with a shared dream: helping people feel beautiful and confident in their own skin. In January 2024, Natalie took the leap into aesthetics and hasn’t looked back. Thanks to Dr. Phillippi that dream is possible!

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison (Go Badgers!) and brings both medical expertise and a compassionate touch to every treatment.As someone who personally struggled with acne growing up and the toll it can take on self-esteem, Natalie is deeply passionate about helping others regain confidence and feeling comfortable in their skin—whether it’s softening fine lines, diminishing the appearance of scars, or restoring volume and balance to the face. Her favorite treatment at Lume is full facial rejuvenation with Sculptra and filler. She also finds major satisfaction in the “zap” of treating facial spider veins with the long-pulsed YAG laser. There isn't a treatment she doesn't love!

A Wisconsin native, Natalie loves exploring the state's beautiful parks with her husband, Carter, and their golden doodle, Willow. She also cherishes time spent with family and friends whenever she can. When she isn't at work or exploring new trails, she is probably traveling the world with Carter! She has been to 7 different countries and 16/ 63 National Parks.

Dr. Eric Phillippi, MD

Dr. Eric Phillippi earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from UW–Madison and completed his Family Medicine residency there, serving as Chief Resident. After time on the UW Health faculty and in rural emergency medicine, he founded Medical Procedures of Wisconsin.

At Lume Aesthetics, he serves as the on-site Medical Director and owner, bringing years of experience in cosmetic sclerotherapy and skin lesion care, including radiofrequency (RF) skin treatments and minor skin surgery. Unlike many clinics where the medical director is off-site, Lume has been physician-led from day one. While the vast majority of patients are seen by our experienced NP and RN, Dr. Phillippi oversees clinical standards and provides direct care for patients with skin lesions that require his expertise.

As a board-certified physician, Dr. Phillippi leads the selection of best-in-class aesthetic devices and establishes protocols that are medically sound for safety and efficacy. An internationally recognized expert in regenerative medicine, he integrates evidence-based regenerative approaches—such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and other biologics—into aesthetic care, helping Lume deliver consistently high-quality, advanced outcomes.

Beyond medicine, Dr. Phillippi is committed to his faith and family, enjoying time with his wife and two daughters, and humorously acknowledging that he only pretends to have time left for hobbies like golf.

Holly Klawitter, LPN, MBA, RCMC

Holly brings over 25 years of healthcare and leadership experience to Lume Aesthetics. A Licensed Practical Nurse since 1997, she combines her clinical expertise with advanced business and organizational leadership skills. Holly holds a Doctorate in Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership, an MBA in Healthcare Administration, and is certified in Risk Management and Compliance — equipping her with a well-rounded foundation to ensure operational excellence, safety, and patient-centered care.

At Lume Aesthetics, Holly oversees daily operations, team development, and patient experience initiatives, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to quality, integrity, and personalized care. Her passion for innovation in aesthetics and wellness continues to shape an environment where patients feel confident, informed, and valued.

The Story Behind Lume Aesthetics

Our journey began years ago, side by side in the ICU at a local hospital. During those long days in the COVID unit, we often dreamed of stepping into the world of aesthetics. So, why not make that dream a reality-together?!Lume Aesthetics is an aesthetics clinic located within Medical Procedures of Wisconsin (MPW) which is a minor procedures clinic with cutting edge treatments for pain, varicose veins, and regenerative therapies and many other minor procedures.

At Lume Aesthetics, treatments range from injectables (filler and botox) to lasers for pigmentation, skin lifting and tightening to skin resurfacing and more. We also do minor skin procedures such as skin tag removal, seborrheic keratoses treatment and other skin lesion removals. We enjoy mixing in regenerative aesthetics whenever possible aka PRP (platelet rich plasma).

Meet Liz:
With years of experience and a passion for patient care, Liz is an expert in delivering natural and transformative results. Her favorite aesthetic treatments? She absolutely loves performing Botox and dermal fillers for their ability to refresh and enhance your look, as well as their plasma resurfacing treatment for its powerful skin rejuvenation benefits. Oh and spider veins of course! When not at the clinic Liz is busy raising her two daughters with her hubby Tom.

Our incredible Registered Nurse! Natalie works at both Lume and MPW. She LOVES doing filler for patients to help make subtle yet beautiful changes! She also loves our vein laser to get rid of pesky cherry angiomas AND spider vein injections! Living in Milwaukee, she loves spending time outdoors with her golden doodle and husband, Carter, while cherishing moments with family and friends.
